Women's Ministry

What is “CSC”?
CSC (“Circle of Sisters in Christ”) is the women’s ministry of Calvary Chapel Lexington. In Hebrews 10:24-25 it says, “And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” In Matthew 18:20 it says, “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” In Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 it says, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.

Christianity is all about relationship, not isolation. As believers in Christ we are called to be together. No one can make a circle by themselves. It takes at least two people. That is our mission for our women’s ministry – to provide opportunities for women to join hands with God and with each other, to support and serve each other, and to be witnesses of Christ in our community. Sometimes our circles are small, sometimes they are large. They are not perfect circles, but they always provide a way for women to grow in their faith and to be connected with each other.
